課堂教學是主要的教學活動之一，是提高教學質量的關鍵環(huán)節(jié)，必須抓緊、抓實、抓好。我們通過上公開課、示范課和老師之間互相聽課，互相學習，共同提高。2002年以來，我校開展了一系列教學評獎活動，如：我系朱建平（2005年）、孫紅霞（2008年），分別獲得東營科技職業(yè)學院青年教師講課比賽一等獎。其次，我們安排講師以上職稱的教師和具有碩士學位的教師擔任本專業(yè)主要課程的教學。另外，根據學院的相關規(guī)定，我們安排老教師擔任新進和青年教師的授課導師，指導青年老師備課及上課，迅速提高青年老師的授課水平及教學效果。

我系成立了畢業(yè)論文評審工作領導小組，負責學生畢業(yè)論文指導、質量監(jiān)控等工作。以確保畢業(yè)論文質量符合培養(yǎng)目標和教學要求。

1）由系主任張震和主管教學的副主任陳為全負責畢業(yè)論文指導的組織與管理，制定了一系列有關畢業(yè)論文(設計)的工作實施方案、論文寫作規(guī)范與要求，對畢業(yè)論文工作做了具體布置,對選題、資料調研、開題報告、論文撰寫、論文答辯等環(huán)節(jié)都作了嚴格、具體、規(guī)范的要求；

2）挑選科研能力較強、工作認真負責、具有講師及以上技術職稱或者碩士學位的教師指導畢業(yè)論文。

3）對學生論文寫作及教師指導工作進行階段性檢查，論文分一、二、三稿和最后定稿，每一稿都要求學生認真寫作和修改，老師要提出自己的修改意見。

4）認真嚴格組織論文答辯工作。將學生分成多個小組進行論文答辯。每個答辯組至少有三個答辯老師，對答辯不合格的學生需要重新組織答辯，重新答辯不合格的學生扣發(fā)畢業(yè)證。

在繼續(xù)原有的院級精品課程《電氣控制與plc》的基礎上，《電工電子技術》課程正在積極申報院級精品課程。各門課程的課程標準已得到完善。學校領導高度重視，學科、專業(yè)定位準確，全系教師密切配合，專業(yè)學科建設正朝著健康有序的方向發(fā)展。

教研室是教學的基層單位，根據我系的教學需要和實際情況，我系現(xiàn)有機械和電氣自動化兩個教研室。每年各教研室都制定了教研室計劃，并按計劃開展一系列的教改教研活動（不得少于10次）。我系的常規(guī)教學以教研室為單位開展，檢查教學計劃執(zhí)行的情況，組織公開課、示范課教學和教案檢查，開展以教學為中心的課外活動等等。

為了培養(yǎng)學生的綜合能力和綜合素質，我系開展了一系列的、有特色的課外活動，如：校內專業(yè)技能比賽、學術講座等活動，系還成立了創(chuàng)業(yè)社團，每年組織外語戲劇演出，這些活動有利于提高學生的專業(yè)水平，有利于培養(yǎng)學生的綜合素質，有利于把我系素質教育推向前進。同時，我系不斷修改教學計劃，增開很多選修課程，調整課時分配，其目的是培養(yǎng)學生的綜合能力，改進學生的知識結構，增強學生在市場上的競爭力，提高學生畢業(yè)后的就業(yè)率。
